Extensions in North Devon
More space without moving house. We design and build single-storey, two-storey and kitchen extensions across North Devon.
Extensions that fit your home
A good extension should look like it belongs, whether it's a modern glazed kitchen at the back or a two-storey addition matched to the original stone or render. We help you work out what's possible, then build it properly.
Types of extension we build
- Single-storey rear and side extensions
- Two-storey extensions
- Kitchen and open-plan living extensions
- Wraparound extensions
- Garden rooms and annexes
Planning and building regulations
Many single-storey extensions can be built under permitted development, while larger ones need planning permission. Every extension needs building regulations approval. We'll tell you which applies and can take care of the drawings and applications as part of a design and build package.
Living with the build
Most people stay at home while we work. We plan the order of work to keep you living as normally as possible, keep the site tidy and secure, and tell you in advance when the noisy or disruptive stages are coming.
Common questions
Do I need planning permission for an extension?
Not always. Many smaller single-storey extensions fall under permitted development, but limits apply. We'll check for your property.
Can I stay in my house during the work?
Usually, yes. We plan the work to keep disruption to a minimum, and will let you know if there are any days it would be easier to be out.
Do you provide the drawings?
We can, as part of a design and build service, or we can build from your own architect's plans.
